Iraq Veterans' Peace Bus Visits Impeachnic
July 14, 2007, was a gorgeous summer day at Reservoir Park near Emmaus. We gathered on the lawn, listening to the bands organized by the Vietnam Veterans Against the War and the Allentown Armory Activists. The beer was flowing, there was plenty of food, and there was plenty of good political talk also. I had just seen the above bus at the gates of Fort Benning, Georgia, on this You Tube presentation, in which three veterans were arrested for "crossing the line" - check it out here. There were petitions to Impeach Bush and Cheney, and to participate in a national strike, if Congress does not respond to the will of the people, and IMPEACH, STOP THE WAR AND OCCUPATION.

Above is a shot of Jim Goodnow from his website, www.yellowrosepeacebus.com. You can follow and support the journey of the Peace Bus from this site, and read Jim's analysis, which reaches back to the basic precepts of freedom and justice to make the argument for citizen action, NOW! Good luck, Jim, and thanks. - Joe DeRaymond |
